Social Network Obsessed?
20th April 2008 | Technology
Every now and again you come across a web application that makes you think “I can’t believe someone hasn’t thought of this before now” and thats what I thought when I came across Social Thing.
I was sent an invite for the beta release by Gav over at Jam Factory and I must say I’m pretty impressed so far. Social Thing is basically a application that reads the RSS feeds of your social networking sites and displays them all in one place, so instead of trawling through Flickr, Facebook, Twitter and Vimeo to check friends posts and comments you just log on to Social Thing and its all there in front of you.
Granted that at the moment it only covers Twitter, Flickr, Vimeo, Facebook, Pownce and LiveJournal (and they’ve already had to disable some of the services due to demand) but by the looks of the development there’ll be a lot more to follow in terms of features including the ability to upload and post to all of your social networks at once and a stand alone desktop widget/app.
Anyone interested in signing up I’ve got 2 invites available, drop me an email at info@studioeightysix.co.uk.
